At weekends there is an influx of day trippers from nearby Trapani and Palermo, which gives the resort a bit of a boost, making the evenings more lively and interesting. A visit to the Zingaro nature reserve is worth considering, along with a visit to the nearby town of Erice which takes you up above the clouds looking down over San Vito. This is a lovely holiday town that has a mainly Italian following and is well worth a visit if your looking for a beautiful beach with true Italian atmosphere.
